The Pajero comes with a choice of two powerful, more efficient engines – next-generation innovation that provides all the power and torque you require to take on the toughest terrain or tow the most demanding load with a massive 3,300kg braked towing capacity, direct injection and common rail INTERCOOLED diesel turbo Engine.

The very latest in diesel engine technology delivers power without compromise. The newly engineered 3.2 litre Direct Injection Common Rail Intercooled Diesel Turbo yields quietness, smoothness and fuel efficiency while still effortlessly delivering 150kW (GLS model) of power and a meaty 448Nm of torque. The new power plant has seen significant improvement over its predecessor. It now delivers 18% more power and 23% more torque, yet boasts a 12% reduction in fuel consumption, travelling 100km on just 9.2 litres of diesel.

With its smooth, effortless power, its monocoque body for strength and rigidity, and its superior interior specification the Pajero makes open road driving a breeze. And then with a casual shift of the Super Select 4WD lever, and the superbly refined Mitsubishi All Terrain Technology (MATT), it’s equally at home with the tests and travails of the toughest terrain.
